1. Information we collect

Account and profile data: email address, sign-in identifiers, seller or creator profiles, account preferences and support communications. We receive account and transaction status from payment and identity providers.

Cards and media: collection details, scanned card identifiers, camera images you choose to capture or upload, grading images, estimates, saved listings, and notes.

Transactions and fulfillment: order history, price, shipping and return details, seller payout status and creator-code usage. Buyers may provide shipping names and addresses at checkout. Stripe processes payments; Card Junkie does not need your full payment-card number.

Technical data: browser and device information, approximate location inferred from network data, diagnostic and security logs, and service usage needed to operate and protect the platform.

2. How we use information

We use it to authenticate accounts; recognize and organize cards; calculate and display market references; deliver saved grading estimates; operate listings, orders, subscriptions, shipping and payouts; detect abuse; provide support; meet legal obligations; and improve reliability.

Card photos may be processed locally or using connected recognition and storage services depending on the feature. When AI-assisted market-price research is requested, card-identifying text and search terms may be shared with an AI/search provider. Treat AI valuation as approximate, not as a verified appraisal.

3. Vendors and disclosures

We use service providers as needed, including Supabase for authentication, database and storage, Stripe for payments and seller onboarding, hosting/infrastructure providers such as Vercel, and card/pricing or AI providers involved in searches. Those providers process information under their own terms and relevant agreements.

Order fulfillment requires sharing applicable delivery details with the selling party. Public marketplace listings, storefront profiles, creator names/codes and published certificate verification records may be visible to others. We may disclose information to comply with law, address fraud, or protect users and the service.

4. Cookies, sessions and analytics

Authentication and application storage may use cookies or similar device/browser storage to keep you signed in and support basic operation. Hosting and service providers may process technical usage events and logs.

When enabled and you choose to allow optional analytics, Card Junkie uses Google Analytics 4 to understand visits, pages viewed and how visitors navigate the website and web scanner. This may involve Google Analytics cookies and device/browser identifiers. We do not intentionally send card pictures, email addresses, payment details or card collection contents to Google Analytics. Google handles analytics data under its own privacy terms. Declining analytics does not prevent you from using Card Junkie.

You can change your choice below. The scanner at card-junkie.vercel.app stores its choice separately from the marketplace website; use the scanner Account page to change that setting.

5. Retention and security

We retain information while needed to operate your account and services, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, or comply with recordkeeping requirements. Deleting an account does not necessarily remove completed order records, lawful transaction records, or data already shared with transaction participants. We use reasonable security measures, but no online system is completely secure.

6. Your choices and rights

You may access and update portions of your profile and collections within the app, change subscription and payment details through the appropriate service, and request information about or deletion of personal information where applicable law provides that right. Some records must be retained for fraud, tax, financial or legal purposes.

For access, correction, deletion or privacy inquiries, contact privacy@card-junkie.com. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling requests.

7. Children

Card Junkie is not intended for children under 13 to register or transact. Accounts used for purchases, sales, Stripe payout setup and paid services must be operated by an adult with legal capacity. If we become aware that we collected a child’s personal information contrary to applicable requirements, we will take appropriate steps to address it.

8. Updates and contact

We may revise this policy as features or legal obligations change. Material changes will be noted through the service or this page. For privacy questions, email privacy@card-junkie.com.
